We meet Sunday mornings at 9:00am to dig into God’s word to train and equip tomorrows mentors to our youth.

A faith-based ministry for Junior High students, offering interactive games & lessons based out of the Bible.

Held Tuesdays and Thursdays at Shirey’s gym. This ministry outlet offers a “Workout of the Day”, and a “Workout of the Soul.” Building on “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and body. (our temple)”

Opportunities to serve: Workdays: April 2nd,3rd ,9th or 10th Garden Club Days: April 12, May 10, June 14, July 12 & Aug 9 Station Volunteers: crafts, lessons, nature hike and planting
A few years ago my kids and I were casually sitting in the kitchen chatting about our garden. We knew how much we enjoyed it and decided it would be fun to invite other families to join us throughout the summer. And despite the challenges we have faced over the last few years, what started as a small group endeavor to create an opportunity for fellowship has grown into a family ministry. What better place to be than beside my loved ones teaching others about God’s provisions and how we can help take care of his creation.
The mission of Kid’s Garden Club is to offer a fun outdoor environment for our children to come together and learn about God’s love for them. They learn about gardening, as well as the things God naturally provides around us. Each month also includes a bible lesson, craft, and nature walk. And while the group is geared towards younger children, it has been so beautiful to see families stay and enjoy garden club together.
This year I find myself blessed with a tremendous amount of community support which is divine timing as the club has grown to a place we can no longer host at our home. I am thrilled to have the support of CPYM that has allowed me to grow this ministry. We currently have over 80 children signed up. I am blessed that the Millerstown Park has granted us a space to put in a community garden that will not only be the host site for Kid’s Garden Club, but now an opportunity for our community to come together and for community outreach. I am grateful for the churches that have already provided support financially and with volunteers; New Harvest Community Church, Central Baptist Church, Millerstown UMC, Turkey Valley UMC, and Reward UMC. I am thankful for the wisdom and support from Butcher’s Farm Market and the Greenwood FFA. I am humbled by a community coming together over a fairly simple endeavour that will be able to have a profound impact.
